About the service

LazyCat Japanese is a JLPT study app offering past-exam practice, AI-powered explanations, and listening exercises across all levels from N5 to N1.

The app is developed and operated by the LazyCat Japanese team. By using the service, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Account & registration

Sign-in is available exclusively through Apple or Google — no separate registration required. Your practice data and subscription benefits are tied to your sign-in account.

You are responsible for your account security; do not share or transfer your account to others
Contact us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised
Account information must be accurate and genuine; impersonating others is not allowed

Subscriptions & payments

LazyCat Japanese offers a free tier and a PRO subscription. PRO subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to the respective platform's payment terms.

Subscription fees are charged upfront and renew automatically each billing period
To cancel auto-renewal, do so at least 24 hours before the current period ends via your platform's subscription settings
Refunds are handled under App Store / Google Play policies; we are unable to issue refunds directly
Subscription benefits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred

Free-tier features remain accessible at all times. We reserve the right to adjust the boundary between free and paid features, but will give advance notice.

Acceptable use

By using LazyCat Japanese, you agree not to:

Scrape, copy, or bulk-download any questions, explanations, or other app content
Decompile, reverse-engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the app's source code
Circumvent subscription verification or obtain PRO benefits through unauthorized means
Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or networks

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account. Serious violations may be subject to legal action.

Content & intellectual property

All content in the app — including but not limited to questions, AI explanations, UI design, text, and icons — is owned by or licensed to the LazyCat Japanese team and is protected by intellectual property law.

JLPT past-exam content is copyright of the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. It is used in this app for educational purposes only.

Without prior written authorization, you may not use any app content for commercial purposes or redistribute it on other platforms.

Disclaimer

The questions and explanations in LazyCat Japanese are for study reference only and do not guarantee exam success. Actual results depend on many factors beyond our control.

We will do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we are not liable for:

Service interruptions caused by network failures, device issues, or force majeure
Account actions resulting from your violation of these Terms
Failures or changes made by third-party services such as Apple or Google

Service changes & termination

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue part or all of the service at any time. For significant changes, we will notify you in advance via in-app notices or email.

You may stop using the app at any time to terminate this agreement. To request account deletion, please contact us through the information at the bottom of this page. Upon deletion, subscription benefits expire immediately; fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by platform policy.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you before they take effect. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
